Happily Ever After | Part 2

Morning Friends!

Sharing some more wedding pictures with you today. I am still absolutely in love with the bridesmaids dresses. I wanted each girl's to be different so we chose five completely unique styles. I had two MOH's, who were both in gold and the rest of the party was in blush. All bridesmaids dresses were from Nordstroms or Macy's. I love the way the mixed materials and beading step outside the normal bridesmaid dress trend. How do you feel about different dresses on bridesmaids?

Monday Motivation

Monday really crept up on me this morning! How was everyone's weekend? The husband and I started phase 1 of our kitchen remodel and hope to have it completed in the next week or so! I can't wait. It already made such a drastic improvement!

This week I'm pretty slammed with work, styling, adding some fun surprises to the blog and ending with a weekend getaway to the lake! Is it Friday yet?

{ Chanel and coffee, both a necessity }:

Happily Ever After | Part 1

So Dan and I finally got our wedding pictures back and we are so excited to share them with our friends and family! Looking at these pictures brings back the exact emotions and excitement of that day. It may sound cheesy, but it was 100% the best day of my life. Heck, it rained, snowed and hailed the day of our wedding, and shockingly it didn't phase me*. I was too excited to marry my best friend! *Side Note: This could also be due to the fact I had a super cute fur coat that I was dying to wear.

To any future brides, enjoy EVERY second. The day goes so incredibly fast. Also, remember to drink lots of water. Water is key, especially if you enjoy lots of champagne like me ;)

I'll be breaking these up into a few posts so they aren't too long. This first post is getting ready pre-ceremony.

Girl's Night

Happy Friday ya'll! My husband will finally be home next week, so in order to keep myself occupied I'll be squeezing in one last girl's weekend! We're planning facials, Netflix, champagne brunch, shopping sprees and lots of laughs - my kind of weekend.

We'll be starting tonight off with some wine and making this margherita cauliflower crust pizza. Have you ever tried cauliflower crust? It's crazy easy to make, guilt-free and ridiculously delicious. I've tried a few recipes, but this  one from Our Best Bites is by far, my most favorite. I can't wait to see if I can get my husband enjoy it too!

What follows pizza? Well boozy desserts, of course. I found this drool-worthy Bailey's Cookies and Cream Parfait recipe on  Homemade Hoopla. I whipped these up Thursday night and let them chill in the fridge. They are perfect for a quick and easy sweet treat.

Another thing I love about girls' nights in is the comfy attire. How cute are these tops from Wild Fox? I got the black boxy cut tee and it is made out of the softest jersey cotton.

Does anyone else have fun plans? Hope you have a great weekend!

Dress Up

When I was younger, my dream was to move off to NYC, work at a huge fashion house, and dress up everywhere, each and every day.
Obviously, that dream didn’t work out the way I planned (… does it ever?), but it still leaves me with my affinity for dressing up in a sophisticated chic 9-5 kind of way. One of my goals is to keep posting as much classic and sophisticated, but also conservative, clothing for all my girls living those big city dreams – or small city, big closets dreams!
When it comes to dressing up, I prefer soft and pastel colors or all neutrals. Usually (actually, always), I go with a neutral bag and pumps (these are extremely comfy and all-day-wear ready – I recommend them). I found this dress by J. Crew and loved the extremely classic–but also classy–demeanor. I’m loving the elegance and chic vibe that can be taken from day to night if you’re headed to dinner or happy hour post-work. Also, it comes in four great, extremely versatile colors. Enjoy!

Weekend at the Bay

Hey there, babes! So this weekend, I'll be going to the lake for my best friend's bachelorette party. In true bachelorette party fashion, I'm sure the weekend will be full of late nights, champagne and lots of laughs. I'm counting down the hours for this girl's trip and thought I would share a few of my summer traveling must-haves for our weekend getaway.

1. Quay Sunglasses: These are by far, my favorite sunglasses for summer. Mirrored lenses, funky shapes and tons of color options. The Chrisspy and My Girl are my favorite styles.

2. Camel Straw Hat: Because sunburn is not cute. Protect your face from the sun in the most stylish way possible. I love the braided band and tassel accents on this hat from Free People.

3. Roundie Beach Towel: How cute are the round beach towels from Her Empire? Perfect for sharing!

4. S'well Water bottle: Sleek, stylish and will keep your water (or other beverage) cold for hours.

5. Instax Camera: Mini, cute and easily portable to capture all those summer memories! Not to mention these come in a ton of different colors.

6. Fun Cocktails: Who doesn't like champagne? This cheat sheet from provides nine different cocktails to try. The Tickled Pink is amaaaaaaaaaaazing.

7. The perfect bikini: So far this summer, I've been really drawn to wrap and cutout swimwear. I'm not huge on laying out (I am more of a SPF 50 + spray tan type of girl) so to me, the more straps and fun details, the better! All swimwear is from Nordstrom.
