Hey guys! Can you believe tomorrow is December?! I'm making a serious effort to get myself as organized/ahead of the game as possible so I can SLOW DOWN and enjoy the days leading up to Christmas. We are hosting this year ( breakfast - dinner ) so I am trying to plan out the coordinating of guests, meals, gifts, etc ASAP. Normally, I am running around like a crazy person... and drinking a lot of wine. I mean let's be real, there will still be the wine - but hopefully leave out the crazy. Okay, moving on.

For me, style is about an attitude. The way you show confidence and combine pieces that you love again and again. With trends ever changing, I always gravitate towards simple pieces, the timeless staples that are tweaked and perfected each season- leather and denim, cashmere and wool, loafers, sneakers, clutch bags, you get the point.

I love the intricate, woven detail of this sweater. It's the perfect shade of light grey and looks great with a leather jacket or over a white collared blouse. I bought this sweater at Nordstroms a few years ago, but I found similars here, here and here. Also, I have to say how obsessed I am with these jeans. The fit, the distress, the crop, everything. You've probably noticed, but I've been wearing them non-stop  ( no shame ). And the Manolo's - an investment piece but forever a classic staple that you can wear year after year. What are some of your closet staple favorites? I'd love to check them out!

Hey babes! I think Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays ( except for Christmas, of course ). There's nothing better than family time, great food, good drinks and being able to reflect on what we have and all we're grateful for. What are your plans for the holiday? Dan is still out of town but on a positive note, he'll be home in two weeks! :) ( seriously counting down the days ). But I'm really looking forward to today and heading to my aunt's house for dinner with the fam.

Whenever I think about what to wear for holiday get togethers, parties, dinners, etc, I always think cozy, neutral yet festive. Today I'm wearing one of my favorite Club Monaco fall sweaters. It's super soft and cozy but fitted which looks great with boyfriend jeans or wide leg black pants. My tan Steve Madden booties are from two years ago, but I linked some similar pairs below ( try these here, here or here ). And can we talk about this Burberry coat. A great winter coat can be a game changer and really play up a strong outfit or hide a weak one ( hey, we all have off-days ).

Is anyone going shopping for Black Friday? There are some crazy good deals this year! I am still debating whether or not I want to deal with all the crazies. Online shopping from my bed does sound more appealing, but we'll see how the day plays out. I've linked some great sales below!

Well, enough for now, I'm running late for mimosas. Wishing you and yours a fabulous Thanksgiving! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Sunday Babes! How is it almost Thanksgiving?! Are you guys ready for the holidays? I am slowly getting things together. I am really going to try and get all my shopping done early this year. I usually wait until the last minute and that totally stresses me out! Also, things are moving along quite nicely with our home search. Hoping to have some fun news to share soon!

On to this outfit. Sometimes it can be hard to dress stylish when you have to get bundled up in layers and oversized knits. I'm usually looking for fun cutouts or extra details when shopping for winter sweaters. When I saw this one at Nordstroms, I was immediately drawn in ( sold out but similar ones linked below ). The plunging back, soft fabric and baby blue color makes this one of my favorite cold weather pieces. I layered this sweater with skinnies and lace up booties for a comfy-casual look for brunch last weekend. It would also look great over your favorite bralette with leather leggings or white distressed jeans. This goes for most sweaters in my opinion, but since the silhouette is a bit loose ( wearing size small ) I like to pair it with a tighter structured pant or skirt to even things out.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Hi Lovelies! This week has been pretty crazy for me to say the least. Things are super busy at work, I've got some really fun blog collaborations in the works, and we have one house on the market, one getting ready to sell and starting the search for a third ... all right before the holidays
( are we crazy? prob ).

When Dan and I first met, we both owned our own homes. Fast forward 3 years, and we're living in mine and renting his, but the contract recently ended and we've decided to list both and start fresh. Dan won't be back from work until the beginning of December so I'm going solo to see houses this Sunday. I'm really excited about one in particular because from the pictures it looks like it has MAJOR potential. I'm obsessed with decorating & DIY ( AKA channeling my inner Martha Stewart ) so I'm so excited about starting with a blank slate that's OUR home together. I kinda feel like I've hit a wall with our current house and there aren't many cosmetic changes left to make, at least within a reasonable budget.

The one drawback to this house is that it has a first floor master bedroom. I'm not really down with that. What do you guys think on first floor vs. second floor master bedroom? We don't have kids yet so would the second floor feel like wasted space? Not sure..TBD on Sunday. I'll be posting lots of updates on Snapchat if you want to follow along ( kellitesta ).

Now about this outfit. I own this shirt in four different colors and for good reason. It's super comfy and the perfect top to dress up or down to take you from work to dinner & drinks. I wear them tucked into a pencil skirt or wide leg dress pants or leave untucked with these Jbrand jeans and Tory Burch clutch. This top is 40% off right now and just restocked in all sizes. This leopard scarf is also a fall favorite from my grandma but I linked several similar ones below.

Hope everyone had a great week and thanks for stopping by!

November 15, 2016

Hey lovelies! So let's get real for a second, there is really nothing comfier than cozying up in a big, soft sweater. Well, obvi sweatpants, but we are talking workplace acceptable here.

Over sized sweaters are really a hit or miss kind of thing. Some can easily master the art without looking homeless, while others make it painfully obvious they threw on their man's knits from the night before. The key to being comfortable AF but not sloppy, is to pair your oversized sweater with a structured bottom and girly accessories. This would look great with a pencil skirt, dress pants or leather leggings. If you are into wide legged pants ( anyone else excited about this comeback?! ) try adding a belt at the waist of your sweater to add structure to the top.

On to the details. I love a good heel, but this would also look great with a cute mule or ankle bootie. Did anyone see the Gucci mules from our Holiday Gift Guide. LOVE. And statement necklaces, I will forever be a fan. It's such a great way to add a little flirtiness to a masculine top. Just channeling my inner Sarah Jessica Parker over here. Finish your look with a bright lip and cute bag ( love this Tory Burch ) and you're all set. Chic and comfy. WIN.

And one more thing before I go ... meet Lexi. My baby girl, snuggle monster, attention hog, toy destroyer, afraid of flying insects, snores as loud as my husband, lovable, sweet as can be, guard dog. She is six years old and an American Pit Bull rescue. As Dan would most definitely confirm, she has me wrapped around her finger. But I mean..... look at that face?!

Hope you are having a great start to your week and as always, thanks for stopping by!
